Valentine's Day 2009

Well this year being that it is our first year as a married couple on Valentine's Day we decided to make it a whole weekend thing here in Utah. Yesterday on Friday the 13th (dundundun) we went and watched Pink Panther 2 at the Gateway Theaters. It was a funny movie! This morning we planned to go down to the Temple for a session, but when we woke up it was snowing pretty hard so we waited out the storm and we are going to go next week one day and take our family names. I (Lisa) woke up and made him some breakfast and hid two gifts that I bought him around the house. When he woke up he had to search the house playing hot or cold till he found his gifts. It was really funny to watch! He was way excited! As for today we are going out to lunch at Tucanos a Brazilian Grill which is going to be all done up for Valentine's Day. Then we are going to the Genealogy Library in Salt Lake to gather some of his family names for our records! He has approximately nine generations of work so far , but there is still a ton to go! Then this evening I am going to make him a special dinner (preferablly one that he likes to eat...hehehehe) I am just kidding about that comment and we are going to just kick back and relax at home. Of course tomorrow is Sunday so we have church and Monday we have no school so we will have a relaxing two days together!

4th of July

Well I had a lot of fun during the 4th of July this year. Spending my first, and probably my last 4th in Idaho, and definitely my last 4th without Lisa, well it was interesting to say the least! We had a lot of fun with it, and I am glad for the break during the weekend.

In another even more fun note, the Westovers came up to Idaho, and I got to see them and go to the temple with them on Wednesday, and then hang with them in Idaho Falls on Friday for the 4th. I swear it has got to have been the coolest fireworks display that I have ever seen. It was amazing! It was about 30 minutes long, and makes any show in Corona look like a neighborhood display. Supposedly, Melaluca, the company that puts this on, spends over 1 million dollars a year on their show, and its known as the best this side of the Mississippi River.

The only horrible parts of the day was the traffic getting back! It took an extra 45 minutes just to leave Idaho Falls, and we were only like a mile from the highway! The second, and obviously worse thing in my opinion is that I wasn't there with Lisa, and that really sucked! But hey, the last 4th of July that will ever have to happen!

Happy Birthday again America! We Love You!

Liz's Wedding

So I am definitely a week behind in the post, but I am sure that you guys will forgive me? Last weekend I went down to California for Liz's wedding and it was a BLAST! Of course the biggest reason was the fact that I got to see my beloved fiancee, but then there was the fact I got to see her sister get married, and PARTY! We guys went out for the bachelor party on Thursday night, and then since we couldn't go racing (stupid pole position) we met up with the girls to go bowling. The next day was the wedding, and we went to San Diego where Liz and her now husband Adam got married. How wonderful it was to watch two people we love get sealed for time and all eternity in the Lord's house and know that we aren't too far behind. After that and a grueling picture session in like 90+ degree heat, we went to the reception which a lot of fun. Good food, good music, and of course my fiancee in a hot red bridesmaid dress. What can I say? I got the chance to dance with her, and it was perfect! We haven't danced together since Christmas I think, or maybe Lisa's Birthday? Well either way it was a blast, and I can't complain. My fiancee, good food, family, and great weather, what can I say?

Another day in California...

First Post

Well here it goes, the very first post of our blog. Lisa is actually in class right now, or just getting out. I can't really remember. This is actually a surprise for her, and so SURPRISE. Well I could actually say that it was a surprise for Lisa, because I told her last night after class. I am actually finishing this post the day after I started it, because for some reason, our internet didn't work and so I couldn't finish the post. So here it is, our first post!
